Without Jesus, we will absolutely face anxiety, fear, conflict insecurity, distrust, doubt and it will tear us to pieces. That is why Jesus is our peace. He bridges the gap. He overcomes those things so that he is our calm, courage, harmony, security, trust, faith. He is it. I have no desire to confront life without him as my peace. I already tried it without him. It is convoluted and labor intensive because you have to rely on yourself and/or others to try and make it through this life. And you and they will FAIL. Not all the time, not even most of the time, but enough of the time. Then when you try it the other way, the hard things don’t go away, but you no longer are responsible for solving them. So, that’s where the peace comes in.

On Purpose (less)
I am not a random occurrence. A life that aimlessly exists, using up resources without reason. No, I have a purpose. I was created intentionally for a cause. I do not waver in my understanding of this since He has affirmed that this is true. “.. all who claim me as their God, … I…

Beauty & Pain
Beauty and pain. To me, this photo expresses it so perfectly. It’s always both in life. It seems like one is greater than the other at times, but neither one is ever totally absent. Obviously, it’s only a challenge when pain appears to outweigh beauty. If I concentrate on the hurricane, I’ll lose sight of…
Hold Your Position
Wait. Stand by. Hold your position. I hear this from God in my life today. I’ve heard it before and my history shows that I do not excel in waiting. I’m not alone in this. I know patience is not a prevalent trait in society. Waiting for God, though is unlike any other type of…
Dark Cannot Overtake Light
Dark gets to have its days. Sometimes it overwhelms and overtakes life. It may succeed for awhile, but it won’t always dominate. If it were the ultimate victor, then I would rather go now. It will not win. Even in the deepest dark, it won’t obliterate light. When we’re navigating through the blackest moments, the…
