Freefall by Armin Van Buuren.
“We’re dodging daggers that almost reach
Making mistakes they can never teach
But these silver clouds won’t dissolve to black
Let’s lose our feet to a leap of faith
And bigger skies that lie in wait
It’s a long way down but I got your back.
We’re out on the edge…of it all
Are you ready to freefall?”
I am. I already did. Jesus’s calling was the chance to freefall. I didn’t bring a parachute. I don’t have a backup rescue team. I don’t grab at passing trees. I have no idea how or when I will land. But the jump has brought great opportunity to see His Love and Faithfulness. Falling is part of the Call. Falling in love with Him because He loved first. Falling in line with the message. Falling apart so He can put you back together.
Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures:
“‘The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes?
Jesus is that cornerstone. He is the chief foundation stone on which the whole building (Kingdom of God) depends. In order to be a part of the Kingdom, you have to fall and be broken. “Anyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed.” Matthew 21:44 Broken, I am ready to be reformed and made whole and complete in Him. “And you have been made complete in Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.”Colossians 2:10 Freefalling is part of the plan because it is ultimate surrender and trust in His Love. The conviction that regardless of the height, time, or danger of the drop, it will not be fatal. In fact, it will bring eternal life because the Lord never fails to catch our fall. “The LORD upholds all who fall…” Psalm 145:14. (I am actually scared of heights, but my heart has full confidence in His Love to catch me)
