Love is the Great Liberator. It possesses the only power that can release anyone from the most difficult prison to escape: our own personal penitentiary. A facility constructed of raw material that we have acquired from life through emotions, actions, experiences. That material is refined into anger, bitterness, hate, prejudice, mistrust, selfishness, lies, etc. that is used to build the walls, ceiling, floor, doors and bars of the cells. I’ve been housed in one and it was inescapable. Love came to rescue me in Jesus and it took me a a little while to walk out. I was not accustomed to the Light since I’d been sitting in a dark cell for so long. But Love doesn’t rush. Love is patient. Yet love is quick and as soon as I walked out, the building was destroyed. Love wants me to be free so I have Love’s Spirit with me to ensure my freedom. If I live in step with Love’s Spirit, I am not convicted by any law that will return me to prison. (Galatians 5:25) Even though that is true, life doesn’t stop handing out raw material. I can’t start building again. I have to take Love’s hand before the cuffs come on. That is when I remember Love’s words: “if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.” Galatians 4:18. Love says to replace what life is giving you with Itself. “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.” Galatians 4:13. Yesterday, I found myself working on a small cell because I stopped to examine some recent material. I was hanging out in that zone. The amazing thing is that Love stayed with me. Helping me to start walking away. Even though I’m not totally out of the area, Love is my constant rescuer. He just won’t give up. I love Him. His name is God. “God is love.” 1John 4:8

Calm Is A SuperPower
What if, in the middle of a confrontation with an opposing force, you choose, the seemingly least powerful weapon in your arsenal? Instinctively, we’d bypass it and move straight to the one we feel is more appropriate. The problem is, typically that response is reactive, rash, emotional, maybe unreasonable, could be retaliatory, may drop faith…
Forgive or Forget?
Well, neither are easy. I’m not qualified to tell anyone to forgive. The only qualified Being who can say this is God. You and I have been sinned against, there’s no dispute there. I’ve experienced and I’ve seen and I’ve been told some of the most horrible things that are senseless. Now, if I were…

Passing Through the Storm
If you’re in one, I hope you see Him trying to ride it out with you because you will not arrive on the other side the same. You cannot. Survivors never do. If they’re inevitable, I don’t want to go through one alone. I have before. It’s not the same without Him. The changes that storms…
The End is only the Beginning
I had no idea who Lao Tzu is. I had to look him up on Wikipedia. He’s a philosopher of Taoism. I didn’t now what Taoism is, so I had to look that up. I don’t have the energy to try to understand it. Basically, it doesn’t really matter. The saying is right on. Not…
