Love is the Great Liberator. It possesses the only power that can release anyone from the most difficult prison to escape: our own personal penitentiary. A facility constructed of raw material that we have acquired from life through emotions, actions, experiences. That material is refined into anger, bitterness, hate, prejudice, mistrust, selfishness, lies, etc. that is used to build the walls, ceiling, floor, doors and bars of the cells. I’ve been housed in one and it was inescapable. Love came to rescue me in Jesus and it took me a a little while to walk out. I was not accustomed to the Light since I’d been sitting in a dark cell for so long. But Love doesn’t rush. Love is patient. Yet love is quick and as soon as I walked out, the building was destroyed. Love wants me to be free so I have Love’s Spirit with me to ensure my freedom. If I live in step with Love’s Spirit, I am not convicted by any law that will return me to prison. (Galatians 5:25) Even though that is true, life doesn’t stop handing out raw material. I can’t start building again. I have to take Love’s hand before the cuffs come on. That is when I remember Love’s words: “if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.” Galatians 4:18. Love says to replace what life is giving you with Itself. “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.” Galatians 4:13. Yesterday, I found myself working on a small cell because I stopped to examine some recent material. I was hanging out in that zone. The amazing thing is that Love stayed with me. Helping me to start walking away. Even though I’m not totally out of the area, Love is my constant rescuer. He just won’t give up. I love Him. His name is God. “God is love.” 1John 4:8

Darkness is prevalent. Wherever there is a corruption of what is good and right, darkness settles. You might be living your best life, but if you have any interactions with other humans, it’s guaranteed you’ll hit patches of darkness. Love Moves
It really is hard to write about this. I can say that love is the most important thing. Yet my life is not always a reflection of that. I’m a hypocrite. It isn’t that I fail to love all the time. But I can’t say that everything I do is done in love. …
Death Becomes Me
Death has never been more appealing! Jesus made this statement and because he did, mankind has hope. We have conquered mountains, space and even each other. But man has never conquered death. Anyone who decides to follow Jesus, dies to themselves, and kills off their self interested life. They are born again to a new…
